NALCO and Champion technologies, former competitors, and two of the largest companies in oilfield chemical production and service to major oil companies, merged in 2013. The challenge was to bring the two teams and cultures together to ensure a successful acquisition transition. Excellence at Work established a consistent culture and set of expectations – key to the success of the merger.
Their goal was to complete merger and acquisition transition with minimal disruption to employees and improve productivity, performance and overall morale.
What We Did
Implementation of Excellence at Work for 8000 employees in 60 countries and six languages combined with comprehensive Best Place to Work consulting.
Successful implementation in 60 countries in 12 months established a common language and vision to be the biggest and best company in the oil and energy services industry. In 2014, the Latin America division recorded its highest growth in history despite plummeting oil prices.
Excellence at Work was key to the success of our company’s merger. It provided a common language and shared vision to bring our two teams and cultures together and help support the acquisition transition. By establishing a consistent culture and set of expectations, we were able to ensure a successful integration.” - Sr. VP, NALCO Champion
